Transitional Patio - Creative Hardscapes Creative Hardscapes is pleased to present the Transitional Patio , a one-of-a-kind outdoor transformation located in the heart of Holmesville. This is a great representation of our commitment to quality and creativity and serves clients in neighboring Baltic, Berlin, Charm, Fredericksburg, Killbuck, Martinsville, Millersburg, Mount Eaton, Mount Hope, Shreve, Sugarcreek, Walnut Creek, and Winesburg. The goal of the Transitional Patio was to create a seamless extension of the clients living space that acts as a bridge between their indoor and outdoor spaces. Our team of specified and skilled workers began designing the transitional patio asking our clients targeted questions. Based on these conversations, they came up with a multi-tiered patio with a sophisticated mix of natural stone and modern concrete pavers. We also utilized beautifully textured flagstone and large limestone format pavers and strategically placed them with rectangular, square and larger pavers to engage contrast and flow. One of the challenges we confronted with this was the slope of the backyard. To address this, we incorporated a series of retaining walls using sustainable and locally harvested natural stone, building structural support but also a rustic charm. This allowed us to accomplish distinct dining and lounging areas while managing drainage and accessibility. The ambiance of this space was significantly elevated with LED lighting arranged at strategic heights and distance to illuminate the patio as the sun sets highlighting warmth and comfort while gathering with family and friends in an outdoor setting. To complete the experience a lush and low maintenance landscape was built around the patio, utilizing native plants that thrive in our climate and require minimal upkeep. The end result was a gorgeous Transitional Patio that will accommodate the client; allowing them to host family gatherings, summer barbeques and cozy evenings around the evening fire and stars.
