Spotlight: Backyard Redesign with Pavers In a recent job for a client in Fort Lauderdale, Pink and Green Lawn Care and Landscape delivered a beautiful outdoor space by redesigning their outdated backyard and taking their outdoor lifestyle to another level. This redesign focused on a new format for utilizing the outdoor space, blending function and style together through a custom paver patio to anchor the area. The pavers installed were a high-quality, durable solution, utilizing an incredible palette of earth tones seamlessly wrapped into a bright and spacious layout for entertaining and relaxation. The design considered areas of seating for families gathering together and a fire pit for continued enjoyment into the evening. Vibrant flower beds with Native plants were also added to bring color and add another level of support for biodiversity. One challenge of the was designing a courtyard space on a sloped section. The turf surface needed to be graded and leveled for a solid base to install the pavers. Our installation team skillfully leveled the area and submerged the base, providing a finish grade that was flush with the border pavers. We also added a very subtle drainage design to handle rainwater, mitigating movement of materials and possible future soil erosion. The finished product was a beautiful backyard that the client loved with slightly more than they expected; function and style both well earned in their surroundings. The space is a private oasis for use socially within the family and a retreat to themselves for a lazy dinner outside in the sun.
