Located in Boise, the 'Boise' landscaping designed by Blue Ribbon Landscape & Maintenance, Inc. exemplifies our practice of design excellence in outdoor landscaping. Boise is a proud service area for our company and wraps around the cities of Caldwell, Middleton, Nampa, Eagle, and Meridian. During this , we transitioned a regular backyard into an inspiring oasis of form and function. The landscape exhibits a beautiful array of Idaho's native plants that thrive and require little attention year-round. Various hardscaping elements were incorporated into the design as well, which included a custom-built patio from natural stone that serves as a gathering space, and permeable paver pathways. Along with amazing textures for a visual dimension, the hardscape elements also function to manage water efficiently. A major challenge involved the yard's grading issues and soil stabilization process. Our team took innovative approaches to landscaping; including tiered garden raised beds with stone retaining wall features, so regardless of the uneven surface of the land, more soil is created for root structure and drainage. To complete the , we added a federally certified water fountain cascading down through stone layers to provide sound while being aesthetically pleasing. We also incorporated lighting to allow for an inviting feel in the evening. In the end, our client was overwhelmed with excitement from the transformation of their backyard into a personal canvas that positioned itself with Boise's natural beauty. They loved the incorporation of gathering-density spaces while adding relaxing areas for calm.
