About This Project

The Parkview Estates Kitchen project in Wauwatosa, WI, transformed a once-closed-off space into an inviting, open-concept area that seamlessly connects the kitchen and dining room. The homeowners sought to create a more spacious environment that would enhance both functionality and aesthetics, making it ideal for entertaining family and friends. To achieve this, our team expertly removed the load-bearing wall that separated the two rooms, incorporating a buried header into the ceiling to maintain structural integrity. In addition, we relocated a small closet and updated the HVAC and plumbing systems to accommodate the new layout. The design choices reflect a harmonious blend of modern and traditional elements, capturing the essence of the home's colonial style while introducing a fresh, contemporary feel. The homeowners expressed a desire to showcase the natural beauty of wood, leading to the selection of stunning natural maple cabinets that provide warmth and character to the space. To create a striking contrast, we incorporated sleek black hardware, which adds an element of sophistication and modernity. A vibrant blue backsplash was chosen as a focal point, infusing energy and personality into the kitchen. This bold choice complements the overall color palette, while the white quartz countertops serve as an elegant and durable surface, tying the design together beautifully.
