Outline: Retaining Walls by Timberland Outdoor Services Timberland Outdoor Services is excited to announce our latest landscaping , "Retaining Walls," which was completed with quality workmanship and creativity across the communities of Apple Valley, Bloomington, Burnsville, Chaska, Eden Prairie, Elko, Lakeville, Maple Plain, Minneapolis, New Market, Prior Lake, Saint Paul, Savage, and Shakopee. This included durable retaining walls that were designed to improve the aesthetics and usability of the client sites. We employed durable and aesthetically pleasing natural stone and interlocking concrete blocks. Each wall was designed to not only uphold the elevation but to be aesthetically pleasing as it blended with other design aspects of the landscape to make it feel cohesive. One of the main difficulties was just the change of elevation throughout the site, and we had to think outside the box with regards to engineering the walls to prevent soil erosion and ensure the integrity of the walls. The entire site was assessed for soil viability and drainage, and a drainage system was implemented entirely to prevent water flow through and under the retaining walls. This was designed to improve the lifespan of the product while ensuring continuous drainage from surrounding walls and magnificently vegetation disturbance from the surrounding landscape. The finished product consisted of tiered, elegant retaining walls that not only showed the natural beauty of the stones but provided terraced functionality for plants and a usable space for recreational activities. The client was extremely happy with how much improvement the walls functionally had, and in the overall curb appeal for the property.
