Part of MakIt Green Inc. outdoor living . Here at JD's MakIt Green Inc., we recently published an outdoor living that we called "Outdoor Living In Plano" that turned a run-of-the-mill backyard in this Dallas area suburb (including Allen,Garland, Murphy, and, well, Plano) into a beautiful space. This was an eclectic mix of natural sensibilities in a way that makes for good outdoor use. At the heart of the design is a bespoke stone patio constructed out of high-quality flagstone a long-lasting yet aesthetically-pleasing patio surface for entertaining. Lush, drought-tolerant plantings planted to beautiful effect not only buffer the patio but are also a boon to local biodiversity. Our dedication to sustainability influenced our choice of native grasses and perennial flowers, chosen to provide color both summer and winter with minimal maintenance. The tiered garden in the backyard was one of the biggest challenges we worked withthe yard was on a slope. With the use of locally sourced boulders as retaining walls we defined spaces adding visual as well as functional space to the landscape. The approach created not only a depth of interest but also assisted drainage saving the property from being eroded away. We included a natural stone fire pit to enrich the feel of warmth, a gathering place under the stars. We also included soft landscape lighting around this area to gently wash the paths as well as to feature the tranquil plantings as part of the nighttime experience. We also put in a custom-designed irrigation system that uses minimal water while ensuring that all the plants will thrive in the Texas climate. With our meticulous and top quality craftsmanship, we have created a landscape that shines and stand the test of time. Our clients are thrilled with the end result, which delivers an outdoor living area that is feel-good and lifestyle reflecting whilst adding value to their home.
