The Private Residence in Paso Robles is a stunning embodiment of Mediterranean design, showcasing a blend of elegance and comfort in the heart of San Luis Obispo. Initiated in 2016, this project focused on transforming the living room into a warm and inviting space that reflects the sophisticated charm of Mediterranean aesthetics. The design incorporates a harmonious color palette of earthy tones and rich textures, which together create a cozy yet refined atmosphere. To achieve this, we selected high-quality materials that resonate with the Mediterranean style, including terracotta tiles and reclaimed wood accents. The flooring features intricately laid terracotta tiles that not only enhance the visual appeal but also provide durability and warmth. Complementing the flooring, custom-built wooden beams were installed on the ceiling, adding a touch of rustic elegance that is characteristic of Mediterranean architecture. The custom furniture pieces were carefully chosen to align with the overall design theme, featuring plush upholstery and intricate detailing. A focal point of the living room is a beautifully crafted stone fireplace, which serves as both a functional and aesthetic centerpiece, inviting relaxation and gatherings. The choice of soft, ambient lighting fixtures enhances the room's warmth, creating an inviting atmosphere perfect for both casual family evenings and entertaining guests. Each element of this project was executed with meticulous craftsmanship, ensuring that every detail—from the decorative molding to the choice of fabrics—was thoughtfully considered. The outcome is a beautifully transformed living room that exemplifies Mediterranean charm while providing a functional and comfortable space for the residents.
