The Midcentury Transitional Home in Richmond, VA, exemplifies a seamless blend of modern functionality and classic design. This kitchen is a central feature of a comprehensive whole-house remodel, where the primary objective was to create an open and inviting space that connects effortlessly with the family room. A new LVL beam, strategically installed with a support post in the ceiling, has transformed the layout, enhancing the flow of natural light and making the kitchen the heart of the home. The cabinetry selection is particularly noteworthy, featuring Elmwood Dove White Loyalist cabinets along the front exterior kitchen wall. These cabinets, designed with a 3.5” rail and a subtle 1/16” radius edge, are complemented by a wood print full access cabinet box, offering both style and practicality. The kitchen island showcases Elmwood Knights Armor Loyalist cabinets, echoing the elegant design elements found throughout the space.
