The project at 550 Fairview Blvd in Incline Village, NV, transformed a poorly designed 1991 home into a modern masterpiece that maximizes its breathtaking views of Lake Tahoe and the surrounding mountains. The original layout featured undefined large spaces, small irregularly sized bedrooms and bathrooms, and an awkward multi-level design that detracted from the home's potential. Our objective was to create a flowing, cohesive interior that not only enhanced functionality but also embraced the stunning natural environment. Through meticulous planning and design, the large undefined spaces were reconfigured and defined with the installation of expansive sliding doors, allowing for an abundance of natural light and seamless indoor-outdoor living. The bedrooms and bathrooms were thoughtfully enlarged, increasing the count to five while ensuring each room is a comfortable retreat. The strategic orientation of the spaces was executed to fully appreciate the extensive views, transforming the home into a sanctuary that harmonizes with its picturesque surroundings. The craftsmanship throughout the project is evident in the selection of high-quality materials and finishes that reflect contemporary design principles. Mixed siding and a classic shingle roof were chosen to create a visually striking exterior that complements the natural landscape. Inside, a detailed approach to the interior spaces fosters a sense of comfort and warmth, with design elements that guide the eye towards the vistas outside. Every room was designed with purpose, ensuring that while each space serves its function, it also contributes to the overall aesthetic and experiential quality of the home.
