The Sideyard Wall project, initiated in 2011, transformed an overlooked area into a private sanctuary that enhances both functionality and aesthetics. The side yard, previously cluttered with remnants from the back wall, was redesigned to create a seamless transition between spaces while maximizing the utility of the outdoor environment. Our approach began with a comprehensive assessment of the existing landscape, which informed our design decisions aimed at both practicality and visual appeal. To achieve the desired level of privacy and aesthetic charm, we opted for a bamboo fence as the primary material. Bamboo, known for its sustainability and durability, offered a striking visual texture that beautifully complemented the surrounding greenery. The choice of bamboo not only aligned with eco-friendly principles but also ensured that the fence would withstand the elements, maintaining its integrity over time.
