Landscape, Renovation, West Houston Check out this beautiful new landscape makeover Houston Landscape Pros provided a local west Houston homeowner to transform their property with added functional and beauty! It wasn't some superficial beautification; this involved developing a sustainable functional outdoor sanctuary that would work with this area's challenging climate conditions. We realized from the beginning, seeing what the area was like on the ground and knowing how much the rainforest can rain, that we needed to improve drainage and irrigation. We used permeable pavers for the patio, which helps water runoff, but not on the beltway, as it creates a chic outdoor space. Dedicated and hardy native plants that required minimal maintenance were planted throughout for floriferousness and habitat for local wildlife. One of the more significant challenges we faced was that the property itself happens to be on a bit of a hill, which means designing for proper water flow and coping with potential erosion inhibiting factors we had to address through grading. The tiered planting beds our accomplished landscape architects designed not only remedied this problem but added dimension and texture to the landscape. In order to maximize interest throughout the year, we added a combination of ornamental grasses, flowering perennials, and shrubs that mature well in shade. The end result was a seamless integration of hardscape as well as softscape, a warm firepit space balanced with greenery, with a cozy pathway tendering to guests weathering the property. This client wanted a space that would help every day feel like a retreat, and we were able to achieve that using our high attention to detail and quality craftsmanship. The homeowners loved their transformed landscape, enhancing not just the value of their home but also offering them a calm oasis to enjoy time with family and friends.
