by: Growing Edge Landscape & Design, Inc In Hickory, one of the residential properties we recently had the pleasure of working on at Growing Edge Landscape & Design, Inc. The emphasis for this was to make a comfortable outdoor living space that combines practicality and good looks. We tackled existing drainage problems and challenging terrain to create a functional and beautiful result that will last for many, many years. Using materials like natural stone pavers, decorative gravel, and quality retaining wall blocks, we created a multi-level patio that could be the centerpiece of the backyard. It includes a custom seating area and tasteful fire pit that is family friendly and great for entertaining. Another improvement was adding a wonderful stone route from the patio to a new garden area, promoting access and flow throughout the space. Our expert craftsman took extra care to ensure that each component complemented the other components of the and could function as part of a greater whole while maintaining their own individuality with regards to the surrounding landscape. By installing lighting fixtures in selected places, the new owners can have the opportunity to admire their outdoor paradise even after dark with more than a wink. Our clients were thrilled with the end result, and now have a beautiful hardscape that adds value to their property and a perfect escape to enjoy time spent at home regaining their breath and entertaining.
