About This Project

The Sherman Residence, located in the picturesque setting of Boulder, Colorado, is a testament to the transformative power of thoughtful design and skilled craftsmanship. This project began in 2006 with a comprehensive remodel of a 3,000 square-foot home originally built in the 1970s. Our team at Rodwin Architecture, in collaboration with Skycastle Homes, approached the renovation with a focus on cost-effectiveness while ensuring the home's functionality and aesthetic appeal were vastly improved. The exterior underwent a complete metamorphosis, gaining an entirely new skin that enhanced its curb appeal and energy efficiency. We replaced outdated mechanical systems with modern, efficient alternatives, ensuring the home met contemporary standards while providing comfort. Inside, we meticulously redesigned the kitchen, integrating modern appliances and open layouts that encourage family interaction and entertaining. The master bedroom and bath were updated to create a serene retreat, while the dining and living rooms were reimagined to foster a welcoming atmosphere. A highlight of the remodel was the addition of a new mudroom that seamlessly connects the house to the garage, enhancing both practicality and flow. In 2011, our relationship with the homeowners deepened as they enlisted us again to expand their outdoor living space. We designed a striking pavilion that serves as a perfect gathering spot, complemented by beautifully redesigned decks, patios, and landscaping that invite outdoor enjoyment and appreciation of the surrounding scenery. The craftsmanship evident in every detail of the Sherman Residence reflects our commitment to quality and the satisfaction of our clients.
