The included a thoughtfully designed multi-tiered deck that connects with the existing landscape to create an inviting place to gather. The deck was constructed of sustainable hardwood that, without compromising the aesthetics of the structure, is resistant to dents as well as the weather. The landscape surrounding the deck includes a diverse arrangement of native plants, including wildflowers and ornamental grasses, that provide color and year-round interest while also attracting wildlife. One of the major challenges of this was the steep slope leading down to the lake, which presented usability and erosion issues. The team at Landscape Renovations, Inc. skilfully executed terraced retaining walls made of locally sourced stone that created a functional garden bed while improving soil stability and providing interest to the design. The terraced walls not only help mitigate the slope issue but also serve as a beautiful backdrop to the lakefront. On the lakefront, we constructed a custom fire pit area with seating made from natural stone and illuminated the area for night-time enjoyment, which is great for hosting social gatherings. Throughout this , we used sustainable or recycled materials, demonstrating our willingness to incorporate eco-friendly design, with the added benefit of preserving the aesthetics of the landscape.
