About This Project

The Holiday Home Decoration Design project is a celebration of warmth, tradition, and the joy of the festive season, tailored specifically for a cherished family in Chicago. Since 2016, I have had the pleasure of collaborating with these clients on various design endeavors, allowing me to intimately understand their aesthetic preferences and the unique character of their home. This year’s project focused on the dining room, a space synonymous with family gatherings and cherished memories, where the essence of holiday spirit truly comes to life. In crafting the holiday décor, I aimed to blend new decorative elements with heirloom pieces that hold sentimental value for the family. By thoughtfully integrating these cherished items into a cohesive design, the result was a beautifully curated environment that felt both fresh and familiar. The rustic mountain style of the dining room provided an ideal backdrop, allowing for the incorporation of natural materials such as wood and stone, which resonate with the home’s overall aesthetic. The design process involved selecting a harmonious color palette of rich reds, greens, and golds, reminiscent of traditional holiday decor while ensuring it complemented the existing furnishings. Handcrafted ornaments and seasonal greenery were artfully arranged to enhance the dining table, creating a focal point that invited warmth and conversation.
