Retaining Walls by Well Rooted Gardens Here at Well Rooted Gardens, we take great pride in transforming outdoor spaces into incredible landscapes that enhance aesthetics and function. Our latest , "Retaining Walls," highlights our quality craftsmanship and innovative design with clients in Bennington, Boys Town, Elkhorn, Fort Calhoun, La Vista, Millard, Omaha, Ralston, and Washington. This included several retaining walls to combat significant elevation changes and soil erosion that the client was experiencing at the property. High-quality, locally-sourced stone and durable interlocking blocks were acquired for this purpose and aesthetically enhance the nature of the landscape. Each retaining wall was designed to stay true to the existing landscape while maintaining visual interest with curves and different heights. One of the challenges we encountered with this was the steep slope of the terrain and the amount of planning and engineering that goes into it for stabilizing the wall, as well as ensuring that it lasted for many years to come (hopefully, even the rest of our lives!). Thankfully we had our skilled staff, the engineering went well! Drainage was also implemented for water buildup behind the walls to best mitigate any erosion behind them resulting in longer lasting walls with reduced maintenance needs. The final product included new beautiful retaining walls that not only helped with the erosion issue but also provided the client with more implementable space for gardens, and outdoor living. The scheduling and budget deadlines were met and the client was excited to be in greater harmony with their landscape.
