Located in the center of Anderson, the Greenwood Residence by LeBrun Designs, Inc. demonstrates the alignment of sophistication and functionality for a landscape. The team committed to making this outdoor space an oasis, showcasing the natural beauty of the area and improving the property's overall aesthetic. The design focused on a variety of native plants including flowering perennials and green shrubs that were specifically chosen for their durability and ability to thrive with low maintenance. A beautiful stone path made of locally sourced flagstone was added to help guide visitors through a variety of flower beds and comfortable seating areas. The path creates a functional element of the garden design but also serves as an attractive area in and of itself. The site also had an uneven topography which posed a challenge. The team designed tiered garden beds which provide structure to the garden while also being visually appealing. High quality soil amendments were used for the beds, as well as a robust irrigation system to ensure all plants thrive in their new environment, solidifying a financial investment for the garden's longevity. A custom cedar wood pergola was added, which creates shade and a comfortable gathering space for the family. The quality cedar not only lasts, but also looked great in the setting complementing the overall design. The addition of any lighting adds ambience and aesthetic, creating a magical atmosphere to the garden after dark. The end result creates an overall garden that not only meets the needs of the residents, but also was environmentally conscious of the location.
