Stone Steps in Takoma Park Best Landscape & Construction is pleased to present our newest landscape , "Stone Steps in Takoma Park". This is a beautiful execution to enhance both function and beauty. Located in Takoma Park, we were able to install beautiful stone steps that enhanced the landscape along with fulfilling a purpose. To make a lasting impression, we went with high-quality bluestone, sourced locally, that added a beautiful hue to the steps while maintaining durability. The overall layout of the steps was designed with the goal of safe access in mind to the sloped backyard because accessing the backyard was difficult for the homeowners. We handled the challenge of an uneven existence and previously laid out our tiers to ensure that everyone's footings were secure while aesthetically providing a gradient evenly throughout the length of the slope. As with all of our setups, each element was put into place with async detailing in mind. We made sure to level the area and excavate to promote drainage to prevent erosion by excess water. Each stone used was handpicked and laid intentionally and carefully providing a nice transition into the garden area. We also set natural stone risers with light as an added safety feature to our flooring, so that walking down or up the steps while enjoying the beauty of the evening would still present itself. Ultimately, the experience for our client turned out better than expected. Not only was it an easy solution to navigate, but it also provided a beautiful focal point in the space that again, leads the eye. The integration of vegetation at the borders and steps provided a very placid pathway into the garden area closely through the stone steps, leading to exploration of the backyard once upon wonder.
