This , located in the heart of Flower Mound, featured a drystack retaining wall that had a specific use as a feature for flower beds and had been custom-built. Using locally sourced natural stone, we made sure the materials not only integrated with the existing landscape, but also gave us durability and longevity. The had some challenges with soil conditions and uneven ground we had to engineer for stability. Our team climbed that uphill battle by using a tiered design that maximized functionality and aesthetic appeal as well. Every stone was hand-selected and worked seamlessly together to create a meaningful and focused flow of the stone that aesthetically ties in the flower beds while maintaining visual interest. The final result was a beautiful mixture of rich, colorful blooms surrounded by rustic drystack walls providing a backdrop to gatherings and reflective retreats alike. Our client was pleased with the final result and impressed that the new feature not only added some depth to gardened area, but helped with drainage and soil retention.
