Palm Springs, CA - Teserra Outdoors Located in the beautiful Palm Springs, CA, Teserra Outdoors just recently accomplished a beautiful landscaping that combines luxury and function. This design showcases native drought-resistant plants, and elevated areas with hardscaping elements showcasing the natural beauty of the desert landscape. The challenge was to create a design that works in the desert climate all while providing the homeowners with a sanctuary. Using the best materials, like natural stone pathways and weather-resistant composite decking, we created a durable space that fits perfectly within the surrounding landscaping. The permeable pavers in the outdoor entertainment area manage rainwater runoff and assist in sustainable landscaping, while also being aesthetically pleasing. Some key features of the included a custom-built fire pit surrounded by beautiful succulents and boulders plated like the area’s natural rock formations. Use of colorful California natives, like agave and yucca, help sustain interest year-round which require less water and maintenance. An irrigation system was managed to help with the water efficiency of the plant's survival even in hot weather. The site was not a flat site, which created an opportunity and disturbance for terraced garden beds, which enhanced visual interest and provide space to relax and entertain. The finished product exceeded our client's expectations in remodelizing their backyard into a perfect space that fit the aesthetic and hospitality of Palm Springs.
