The Contemporary Style Update project in Mount Vernon, WA, transformed a home built around 2000 into a modern sanctuary that perfectly catered to the needs of its owners and their three growing daughters. The original space, while structurally sound and blessed with stunning views, was in dire need of a stylistic refresh. The dated oak cabinets, laminate countertops, and wall-to-wall carpeting detracted from the potential charm of the home. The renovation aimed to breathe new life into the space, embracing contemporary design elements that would enhance both functionality and aesthetic appeal. A key focus of the project was the kitchen, which underwent a complete overhaul. The old oak cabinetry was replaced with sleek, modern finishes, complemented by elegant quartz countertops that offered both durability and style.
