Driveways & Curb Appeal C. Hawkes, Inc. Hardscape & Landscape Design is pleased to present our most recent d 'Driveways & Curb Appeal.’ It was a fun with a stunning transformation on the exterior look of a lovely home in the heart of Middlesex County. This was specifically made to create a dramatic new look that included functionality for aesthetic appeal while increasing the overall curb appeal to the property. The first feature to assess was the existing driveway. We found it to be worn, basic in style, and lacking adequate drainage. The team decided to use interlocking pavers. We chose pavers based on their durability, style, and their universal appeal. The driveway had a gentle design and was accented with a stone border that made this segment of the property blend nicely with the surrounding landscape. To further add to the visual space, we made sure to include plantings around the driveway perimeter. Indigenous shrubs and perennial flowers were used to collectively enhance the vision, color, and addition of biodiversity. Material selection was important to us, and we selected materials that were environmentally mindful of sustainability, without sacrificing design and visual quality. Undoubtedly, a significant challenge was the slope of the land; especially, grading for adequate water movement, pooling, and run-off issues we were concerned . Our wonderful team used techniques to create an elevation for water movement and drainage, while also inviting your guests to the home. In conclusion, the completed work is a beautiful mix of hardscape and softscape elements that increased the value of their property and delighted the homeowner. The new driveway complemented the landscaping and the house, while providing both function and form, and an inviting look. The completion of the is a showcase of C. Hawkes, Inc. and our quality craftsmanship and design innovation - and the focus to leave lasting impressions in the communities we serve - Acton, Andover, and beyond.
