About This Project

The Lohry Project involved transforming a smaller upscale apartment into a serene and inviting space perfect for relaxation and entertaining. Recognizing the client's desire for tranquility, our design approach focused on the use of neutral tones throughout the apartment, creating a soothing backdrop that would enhance the overall ambiance. To infuse personality and vibrancy, we introduced bold jewel tones through carefully selected accessories, decor, and bedding, ensuring a harmonious balance between calmness and visual interest. The design showcases a transitional aesthetic, seamlessly blending traditional elements with contemporary appeal. This is particularly evident in the living room, where we chose upholstery from Bassett Furniture, featuring rich textures in chenille and velvet. These materials not only add depth and warmth to the space but also invite comfort, making it an ideal area for both social gatherings and quiet evenings. The upholstered beds serve as a focal point, softening the room's atmosphere while providing a striking contrast to the modern storage solutions incorporated into the design. To maintain an open and airy feeling throughout the apartment, we opted for sheer linen drapery panels that gracefully filter light while offering a subtle visual continuity across the space. This choice enhances the overall flow, allowing natural light to dance through the rooms, further emphasizing the serene environment we aimed to create. The result of the Lohry Project is a beautifully curated living space that not only meets the client's needs but also reflects a sophisticated style. The thoughtful combination of materials, colors, and furnishings results in an engaging environment that is both comfortable and visually striking, making it a perfect sanctuary for the client's new lifestyle in their upscale apartment.
