After 17 years of cooking in the same kitchen, our client in Columbus, GA, sought a fresh and functional update while maintaining the existing footprint of the space. This project focused on enhancing usability and aesthetic appeal, resulting in a kitchen transformation that beautifully marries style with practicality. The design process began with a thoughtful assessment of the kitchen's layout, leading to the strategic addition of drawers in the base cabinets. This modification significantly improved accessibility, allowing items that were previously difficult to reach to be conveniently stored and retrieved. The incorporation of drawers not only maximized storage efficiency but also contributed to an overall cleaner and more organized look. A striking two-tone color palette was chosen to add visual interest and depth to the space. The homeowner opted for rich stained cabinets on the lower half, providing a warm and inviting base, while crisp white cabinets above create an airy and open feel.
