The Sunny Maple Kitchen project is a stunning transformation that marries coastal inspiration with rustic charm. Drawing from the homeowners' passion for the sea, the design process began with wooden wall art featuring a boating motif, which served as a vibrant palette for color and texture. The existing natural pine paneling was preserved and enhanced with a warm, sunny shade of Benjamin Moore MACADAMIA NUT 191, infusing the space with a cozy and inviting atmosphere that mirrors the home's personality. Cabinetry was carefully selected from Dura Supreme, featuring "pegged doors" that align perfectly with the rustic textural theme. This choice not only complements the traditional aspects of the space but also provides functional storage that maintains the kitchen's aesthetic appeal. The inclusion of stainless steel appliances, highlighted by a contemporary hood style, introduces an eclectic element that adds visual interest and a modern touch, creating a harmonious balance between old and new. The countertops, crafted from Cambria solid surface in the "Canterbury" color, contribute to the kitchen's bright and airy feel, while the mosaic backsplash adorned with copper accents brings vibrancy and a unique character to the overall design.
