About This Project

Longs Pond We are excited to announce our ‘Longs Pond’ , which is a spectacular metamorphosis at the center of our service area, including Wayne and West Chester. This total landscape was dedicated to highlighting the natural quality of the existing pond and creating an outdoor movement space for relaxation and recreation. Our team created a peaceful area of enjoyment in the landscape using native plant species that not only enhanced the aesthetic value of the site, but supported local ecosystems and wildlife. By incorporating high-quality materials, such as natural stone for walkways and seating, we created durable yet attractive site elements of interest that complement the integrity of the landscape. One significant challenge to the was management of water flow through the site to provide proper drainage around the existing pond. Our highly skilled group of landscape professionals engineered a complex drainage system to not only protect the integrity of the pond, but to enhance the resiliency of the overall landscape during heavy rains. The final product was a delightful retreat featuring a magnificent natural-stone cascading rock waterfall, flower beds with color, and large boulders all creatively arranged to enable movement and exploration experience within the landscape. Included in the installed features was a custom decorative wooden gazebo structure to gain viewing access to the pond and the landscape, while also providing for gatherings of family and friends. The client was very pleased the finished product. They especially complimented its functionality with the aesthetic appeal of the overall space.
