The Huges Rd. Kitchen project in Brighton, MI, stands as a testament to modern elegance and functional design, achieved while our clients were abroad in Shanghai. This ambitious endeavor involved a comprehensive kitchen remodel coupled with a thoughtfully designed second-story addition, seamlessly enhancing the home’s overall aesthetic and usability. The design process centered around maximizing space while preserving the character of the existing structure. One of the standout features of this project is the preservation of the original tile flooring, which provides a warm and inviting foundation for the new kitchen. This decision not only pays homage to the home’s history but also ties the new elements together with a sense of continuity and sophistication. By carefully demolishing an adjacent closet, we were able to create a dedicated secondary sink area, which has significantly increased the kitchen's functional space. This strategic alteration allows for multiple users to enjoy the kitchen simultaneously, catering to the needs of a modern family. The cabinetry chosen for this kitchen reflects a contemporary design ethos, featuring sleek lines and a crisp finish that complements the overall aesthetic.
