The PREWAR CO-OP project represents a harmonious blend of sophistication and modern living, situated in a charming three-story residence on a tree-lined street in the heart of the Upper West Side. With its prime location just one block away from Central Park and the Metropolitan Museum of Art, this home was transformed to reflect the vibrant lifestyle of a young couple embarking on their family journey. The renovation encompassed a complete reimagining of the first-floor layout, focusing on creating an open, inviting space that fosters connection and warmth. By removing the walls that previously separated the kitchen from the living and dining areas, we achieved a loft-like atmosphere that maximizes natural light and enhances the sense of openness. Central to this design is an expansive breakfast bar crafted from exquisite Statuary Marble, featuring a raised mitered edge that showcases the stone's natural beauty. This striking focal point not only serves as a functional eating area but also elevates the aesthetic appeal of the entire space. Complementing the marble countertop, custom white cabinets were meticulously designed in an inset shaker style, finished with a scratch-resistant catalytic coating to ensure longevity and ease of maintenance. The attention to detail in the cabinetry reflects a commitment to craftsmanship, providing both practicality and elegance. Each element of the renovation was chosen to create a seamless flow between the living spaces, fostering an environment perfect for entertaining and family gatherings.
