Hardscapes by Landscape Perceptions At Landscape Perceptions, we love making outdoor spaces into beautiful retreats, and our 'Hardscapes' reflects our dedication to quality and craftsmanship. We had the pleasure of working in the lovely communities of Arial, Central, Clemson, Easley, Liberty, Norris, Pendleton, Pickens, Powdersville, Six Mile, Greenville, Simpsonville, Seneca, and Walhalla to make this vision a reality by merging function with beauty. The 'Hardscapes' focused on the design of a multi-functioning outdoor living space that conveyed a purpose and aesthetics by merging the hardscape and landscape design. Our team selected top-quality hardscape materials, such as natural stone pavers, decorative gravel, and boulder retaining walls, which will stand up to the elements and enhance aesthetic appeal. The intention of our selection was to ensure both longevity and strong functionality to support various outdoor activities. One of the biggest challenges we faced was determining the grading for the site due to the unevenness of the slope. Our designer and installation team utilized innovative grading solutions which accounted for both leveling the ground for installation of the patio and pathways, but also preserving the natural contour of the slope [ensuring proper drainage to avoid future erosion issues]. This careful process provided an approach to allowing us to create an impressive layout to enhance the usability and flow of the space. We designed an ideal outdoor kitchen area complete with a stone fire pit. It is a great space to entertain, and cozy up to the fire while looking at the stars. The winding pathway through the garden bed, that is lined with native plants to thrive in the local climate, will lead guests to the outdoor kitchen area. Upon completion, the renovation was remarkable! The client was thrilled with their redesigned outdoor living space, and noted their appreciation for the of merging the hardscape and softscape. This is not just a space, but an extension of the client's home for entertainment, relaxation, and making memories together.
