Clients Kate and John envisioned a space where their family could gather, study, and enjoy meals together. To achieve this, we collaborated closely with them to refine their ideas, resulting in a design that is both functional and aesthetically pleasing. One of the pivotal changes included obtaining the necessary permits to remove a wall, which opened up the kitchen layout and created a seamless flow between the cooking and dining areas. The design features a contemporary two-toned color scheme that infuses personality and charm into the kitchen. The striking contrast between the warm wood accents and the sleek gray cabinetry establishes a modern yet welcoming atmosphere. Semi-custom shaker cabinets were chosen for their timeless appeal, offering both style and ample storage. The installation of quartz countertops adds a touch of elegance while ensuring durability and ease of maintenance. A focal point of this remodel is the large breakfast table, designed to accommodate two teenagers for homework and family gatherings alike. Additionally, the strategic placement of an office nook near the kitchen allows for multitasking, enabling family members to stay connected while cooking or entertaining.
