The Brooke Residence, located in the picturesque Colorado Springs, CO, embodies the timeless elegance of Craftsman architecture while seamlessly integrating modern design elements. This project focused on revitalizing the exterior and interior spaces, emphasizing quality craftsmanship and attention to detail. The initial phase involved a comprehensive assessment of the existing structure, where we identified opportunities to enhance its historical charm while improving functionality and aesthetic appeal. The exterior received a complete transformation with the application of rich, natural materials that reflect the classic Craftsman style. We carefully selected a warm color palette, highlighting the intricate woodwork and stone accents that are characteristic of this design. New wooden beams and tapered columns were added to the porch, creating a welcoming entryway that invites guests to explore further. The landscaping was thoughtfully designed to complement the home’s architecture, featuring native plants and stone pathways that harmonize with the surrounding environment. Inside, we focused on creating open, airy spaces that promote a sense of comfort and connectivity. The original floor plan was enhanced by strategically removing non-load-bearing walls, allowing for a fluid transition between the living, dining, and kitchen areas. High-quality hardwood flooring was installed throughout, providing a warm and cohesive feel. Custom cabinetry crafted from reclaimed wood was added in the kitchen, offering both functionality and a nod to the home’s historical roots. The outcome of the Brooke Residence project is a stunning fusion of classic Craftsman beauty and modern convenience.
