At the heart of the home lies the original barn, skillfully incorporated into the overall architecture. The facade features warm cedar siding that complements the natural environment, while the winding staircase, crafted from rock, adds a unique focal point, inviting exploration. The combination of rusty metal and asphalt roofing not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also ensures durability against the elements, embodying the rugged charm of ranch life. Energy efficiency was a paramount consideration in this project, resulting in a super-insulated structure equipped with solar panels. This commitment to sustainability is reflected in the use of fir timbers and beetle kill soffits, both of which showcase the beauty of reclaimed materials.
