The West Seattle Kitchen remodel transformed a once cramped and segmented space into an open, inviting area that seamlessly blends cooking and dining with breathtaking views of Puget Sound. By removing a structural wall and replacing it with a robust structural beam, the design team successfully created a fluid space that accentuates the stunning vistas while enhancing functionality. This transition from a separate kitchen and dining area into a unified design allowed for the incorporation of a significant peninsula, featuring multiple dining spaces at the bar, perfect for both casual meals and entertaining guests. To elevate the aesthetic, the project involved replacing the original squeaky wood flooring with exquisite ceramic tile, which not only provides a durable surface but also offers a distinct visual separation between the kitchen and living spaces. The choice of rich cherry cabinetry replaced the outdated white cupboards, adding warmth and sophistication to the overall design. Complementing the cabinetry, luxurious quartz countertops were installed, delivering both beauty and practicality in this high-usage area.
