Old Cement Pond Renovated

Concrete Pond Renovation At the Koi Villa Water Garden Center, we have just completed an exciting called "Old Cement Pond Renovated" for a very happy client in Warwick, RI. This renovation included upgrading a very old concrete pond with new features to enhance the outdoor area and improve the overall view of the landscape. The process began with a more in-depth consultation, where we discussed the client's goals of having a relaxing and beautiful water feature that would blend into the landscape adjacent to the pond. Our first challenge was to remove an old cracked cement pond without disturbing the existing landscape. We employed sustainable materials as much as possible, using natural stone for the edges of the pond, and a high-quality liner to help create a healthy aquatic environment. We incorporated beautiful aquatic plants, including water lilies and lotus, thereby creating a calming water feature and enriching a diverse ecosystem designed to attract birds, butterflies, and other forms of wildlife. The inclusion of a new, professional-level filtration system was added to provide clean and clear water to the pond and keep the pond looking beautiful. Another remarkable feature of this was the custom waterfall we designed as part of the pond. The waterfall was constructed using local river stones, and its gentle flow into the pond should add comfort to the area as well as enjoyment. The waterfall is designed for both aesthetics and functionality by adding oxygen to the water which will promote a healthy habitat for the client's koi fish. The final product is a beautiful retreat that exceeded the client's expectations: this formerly neglected concrete pond is now a stunning feature that blends into the surrounding green flora. The craftsmanship and attention to detail we provided at every step of the resulted in a comfortable place to visit, enjoy, and relax.
