The Ponte Vedra Beach- 90's Transformation project epitomizes modern design and functionality, turning a dated beach house into a stunning contemporary retreat for a young family. Originally constructed in the 1990s, the home required significant updates to align with the homeowners' vision of an open and airy living space. Collaborating closely with designer Micaela Barrancotto, the family undertook a comprehensive renovation that involved removing cumbersome arches and opening up walls to create a seamless flow throughout the home. The design choices reflect a commitment to clean lines and modern finishes, resulting in a sophisticated yet inviting atmosphere. The cabinetry played a pivotal role in this transformation; the perimeter features AOK solid plywood cabinetry with the Winstead door style, elegantly painted in white and accented with striking black metal hardware. The centerpiece island showcases the Diamond Vibe cabinetry, crafted with solid plywood ends and the sleek Kasper door style painted in Heron, maintaining the same hardware theme for consistency. A cozy banquette was also incorporated, utilizing the same Diamond Vibe cabinetry in the Kasper style, painted Alabaster, topped with a custom maple wood surface from CWP. The bathrooms received an equally impressive makeover, featuring AOK PureStyle Brellin cabinetry in white, harmonizing with the overall aesthetic. The countertops throughout the kitchen and bathrooms utilize Viatera surfaces in Minuet and Cotton White, offering both durability and elegance. The 36” Alfi fireclay sink adds a touch of classic charm, complemented by a marble backsplash in a Moroccan pattern from Home Depot, elegantly punctuated with black dots. The flooring, composed of wood-look vinyl plank, enhances the coastal vibe while ensuring practicality for family living. Completed by Sonshine Builders, Inc. and crafted with meticulous attention to detail, this project stands as a testament to the successful collaboration between the homeowners and the design team, culminating in a beautiful, modernized home that perfectly suits their lifestyle.
