Intersecting Courtyards Intown Estate Greenville, SC Completed by: DabneyCollins The Intown Estate with Intersecting Courtyards located in the heart of Greenville, SC by DabneyCollins, is a prime example of the extraordinary outdoor spaces we strive to create with the harmonious balance of functionality and beauty. This vast landscaping comprises of a range of interlinking courtyards designed to frame the estate in landscape frames while offering tranquil outdoor living spaces. To ensure that every courtyard provided a unique invitation, we chose natural materials like local stone pavers and sturdy, environmentally-friendly hardwood for the decking. The hub of the site, the central court is alive with perennial gardens and softscape, coupled with a water feature to provide sound succor. Intended as spaces for repose and contemplation, the side courtyards are furnished with comfortable seating areas and air‐planted with a diversity of hand‐picked plantings, including native shrubs and flowering plants that create seasonal interest and draw pollinators. Old drainage problems and rough terrain were some of the challenges we encountered during the . To promote adequate water management, we incorporated transitional grading solutions that fit seamlessly into each area of landscaping to extend its lifecycle. The end result is a beautiful balance of hardscaping and softscaping that improves both the curb appeal and functionality of the estate for entertaining and relaxation. We couldn't be happier with how this turned out and our client was overjoyed as well, stating that "the intersecting courtyards have made the outdoors a true oasis of peace and beauty."
