Located within the unique environment that is Encinitas California this is consistent with the surrounding nature, catering to client's from Bonsall to San Diego North County. We envisioned a verdant, tropical hideaway that will make residents feel that they have entered a paradise right at the backyard. It had a beautiful display of native and exotic plant specimens: bright hibiscus, sweet-smelling plumeria, and big palm trees offering shade and making you feel like you’ve stepped into another world. Utilizing permanent materials such as natural stone paths and gravel maintained the functional and ornamental role. There were lot of things like unequal terrain and existing drainage problem we had to go through with during the process. We met these challenges head-on with an extensive drainage plan that not only diverted water, but also improved the design itself. The outcome is a landscape that works in harmony with its surrounding, yet also offers its inhabitants a comfortable space to unwind and enjoy their spare time. At the heart of the garden is a beautiful water feature including a gentle waterfall providing a peaceful sound. Comfortable seating areas crafted in sustainable teak wood encircle this oasis, ideal for family time or a quiet evening star gazing. Our clients were thrilled with the end result, as beautiful as the area they are situated turned with their transformation into an outdoor/hideaway that highlighted their love of nature and the great outdoors. The Leucadia Tropical Garden is a great example of the quality work and creativity that Expanding Horizons provides to its clients.
