About This Project

Newtown Square Meadow Land Stewards Ecological Landscape Design is thrilled to announce the 'Newtown Square Meadow' , an outstanding blending of aesthetics and ecological stewardship. Set in the core of Newtown Square, this large freshwater landscape was intended for serenity and to achieve local biodiversity. The landscape included a variety of native plant material with wildflower species, ornamental grasses, and tree placement that is designed to create the visual elements while attracting local pollinators. We used high-quality permeable pavers to create meandering pathways that were designed for drainage, reducing erosion, and maintaining easy visitor access. One of the main issues during construction was the Bay Heights topography and existing soil conditions. Our skilled crew used creative grading to create movement through the meadow space integrating rain gardens to control stormwater strictly for environmental purposes. Additionally, the registration of textures added to the functionality of the landscape layout. The completed result is a beautiful meadow designed for ecology and a place for reflection in the community. Clients were thrilled with how practical and aesthetically complementary their original vision was, with a comment the transferred space.
