'Plants in Pots' by GreenCascade Landscaping At GreenCascade, we had the privilege of starting an exciting new landscaping called 'Plants in Pots.' The purpose of the was to beautify the outdoor living spaces in the communities that we work in around South Florida, including Boca Raton, Miami Beach, and Coral Gables. The goal of the was to bring some life and color to residential and commercial properties using a collection of potted plants that work in tandem with their surrounding environment. At the core of 'Plants in Pots' is the selection of plants themselves, featuring a mixture of tropical plants, succulents, and seasonal flowers. Each pot was selected and designed to use quality materials that would match the visual aesthetics of the various properties, while also resisting the coastal environment. We selected ceramic and fiberglass pots in variable sizes to ensure that pots were not only appropriate for the environment but that the pots would allow the plants to thrive by permitting proper drainage and aeration. While this may seem like a simple concept, each site we encountered had different conditions related to sunlight exposure and soil. We conducted a careful analysis of the sites and selected appropriate plants that would thrive within their respective microclimates, ensuring longevity and vibrancy of planted materials. At the same time, we implemented an added irrigation application to ensure plants received optimized water usage while being environmentally friendly. In the end, GreenCascade was able to yield a beautiful result of lush plant material and colorful blooms that transformed the outdoor spaces into a beautiful living space suitable for relaxation and entertainment. The managed to improve more than just the aesthetics of the spaces, but also provided increased property value to the client.
