The Seabreeze project transformed a once-stuffy Airbnb condo into a fresh and inviting retreat, perfectly harmonizing with its stunning ocean views. Located in the vibrant city of San Diego, CA, this project commenced in 2018, driven by the client’s vision of creating a homey atmosphere that steered clear of the typical beachy dec. Our approach centered on revitalizing the space with a modern aesthetic that embraced organic elements, ensuring a seamless connection to the coastal surroundings. We began by refreshing the entire interior with a crisp coat of white paint, which served as a blank canvas, amplifying the natural light that floods the space while providing a clean backdrop for the carefully chosen furnishings. The outdated boxy Tuscan furniture was replaced with thoughtfully selected pieces that feature soft, neutral textures and subtle patterns, contributing to a calming ambiance. A standout feature of the living area is the live edge coffee table, which not only showcases the beauty of natural wood but also adds an organic touch that resonates with the overall design ethos. In the bedroom, the design choices reflect a sophisticated beach style that is both chic and comfortable. The color palette remains light and airy, with carefully curated decor that enhances the room's inviting atmosphere. Textiles in soothing shades and natural fibers were chosen to complement the serene environment, creating a space where guests can unwind and relax.
