About This Project

The North Buttercup Creek project transformed a cramped, outdated kitchen into a stunning, expansive space designed for entertaining and family living. Recognizing the clients' passion for hosting large gatherings and their need for a functional layout to accommodate both their large family and two sizable dogs, we set out to create a seamless integration between the kitchen and the rarely used formal dining room. By removing the built-in pantry and opening the back wall, we were able to absorb the dining area, resulting in a massive chef’s kitchen that exudes both style and practicality. The centerpiece of this new kitchen is a large eat-in island, designed around a 36” gas cooktop, complete with a heavy-duty downdraft pop-up vent that ensures optimal cooking conditions. Maximizing cabinetry storage was a top priority; we incorporated pull-out organizers, a hands-free trash pull-out, roll-out trays, and large pantry cabinets, all complemented by stunning backlit glass front cabinets that provide an elegant touch. The layout promotes efficiency while ensuring that everything is within easy reach, perfect for the culinary enthusiast. As a nod to the clients' love for socializing, we introduced a large stone front bar area, featuring a bar sink, double beverage centers, and an ice maker, allowing for effortless entertaining. The space also includes built-in bench seating in the breakfast nook, offering a cozy spot for casual meals. To fully utilize the area under the stairs, we crafted a custom built-in desk that seamlessly blends functionality with design. Additionally, we refaced the fireplace to match the exquisite stacked stone in the bar area, tying the entire aesthetic together. The outcome is a harmonious blend of modern functionality and inviting warmth, showcasing craftsmanship that enhances both the beauty and utility of the home. This kitchen not only meets the clients' needs but also elevates their entertaining experience, making it the heart of their home.
