West Windsor, NJ Doerler Landscape & Hidden Springs Irrigation is excited to share our recent landscaping in West Windsor, NJ. The involved taking a traditional backyard and turning it into a unique outdoor space. The was initially a somewhat neglected area that had become overgrown and underutilized. A comprehensive landscape plan was designed that included a beautiful combination of native plants and ornamental shrubs to provide beauty and sustainability. We decided to use high-quality materials such as "local" stone for a natural-looking patio and a durable paver walkway to ease foot traffic through a healthy garden. A key challenge that we faced was a poorly draining yard, which allowed water to pool and jeopardize plant health. Our skilled team was able to overcome this challenge by implementing an ingenious drainage plan that included French drains to carry excess water away from the garden beds. This challenge was particularly difficult, but it created a more productive garden and a solid base to start our landscaping. The space has an outdoor living area that includes a custom fire pit surrounded with natural stone seating. This area is great for entertaining or just sitting and enjoying the fire in the evening. We also installed low-voltage LED lights to highlight the landscape at night, creating a magical backyard experience. The ended in a lush landscape that certainly exceeded our client's expectations. The quality of the design, craftsmanship, and attention to detail provide a vibrant outdoor living space that captures the best of West Windsor.
