A vast canvas spanning the land from Longboat Key to Myakka City, our team took the challenge to turn this large property into a luxurious landscape that felt both as natural as it was inviting. Its extremely complex design used native Florida plants and was meant to enhance, not just maintain, the local ecology. Choosing a mix of flowering shrubs, grasses and perennials that burst with color but require little care, we cultivated a feast for the eyes twelve months of the year. We chose to do beautiful flagstone pathways to flow with the landscape, offering a wonderful natural way to guide visitors through the beautiful landscaping. Some of the more serious challenges that we had to deal with was drainage at the site, or more specifically, how it would compromise the integrity of the landscape. Using innovative permeable materials, our team created a unique drainage solution. This not only fixed the problem but also added beauty to the garden and finally created a sustainable landscape that is suitable to such wet conditions. A large patio finished in premium natural stone serves as a custom-designed outdoor living space and the focus of the Bay Club. In this space, we included a fire pit and seating area, ideal for gathering and relaxing beneath the Florida stars. Complementing terrace and garden areas are ambient lighting to illuminate significant features of the landscape and this creates a warm and inviting ambience at the night. The end outcome is more than what our client could have imagined, turning the Bay Club into a serene sanctuary that provides a perfect balance between elegant living and the splendor of nature.
