In the heart of Westlake Village, the Falling Star Traditional project represents a remarkable transformation of outdated and dark bathrooms into a sophisticated sanctuary that embodies the clients' East Coast traditional style. Upon moving into their newly purchased home, the couple found themselves surrounded by a dull palette of warm neutrals that failed to reflect their aesthetic preferences. After being inspired by JRP's exemplary renovations in the neighborhood and receiving a courteous Pardon Our Dust letter, they sought a consultation, envisioning a design that was light, airy, and predominantly white. JRP expertly worked within the original footprint of the space to create a tranquil primary suite that is rich with traditional detail. The design process resulted in a stunning celebration of classic style, with radiant rooms that now glow with freshness. To enhance functionality, the JRP team thoughtfully removed a cluttered storage area to expand the primary closet, which now features a dedicated dressing space complete with upgraded storage solutions and refined built-in cabinetry, accentuated by recessed panels. The design incorporates glamorous elements such as Robert Abbey glass chandeliers and polished chrome fixtures, harmoniously balanced by traditional touches like crown molding and porcelain tiles. The luxurious quartz-clad drop-in soaking tub becomes a focal point, inviting relaxation. Large windows in the primary bath and strategically placed funnel skylights in the closet ensure an abundance of natural light, creating an airy and refreshing atmosphere throughout the spaces. The color palette, highlighted by Dunn Edwards’ "Sail Cloth" and Benjamin Moore's "Ballet White," adds soft depth to the uncomplicated elegance of both the master bath and closet. With materials such as Vadara Quartz in Calacatta Dorado for countertops and Calacatta Dorado porcelain tiles underfoot, this project exemplifies superior craftsmanship and attention to detail, resulting in a beautifully transformed home that perfectly reflects the clients' vision and lifestyle.
