About This Project

The Cordially Invited project transformed a Baton Rouge home into a welcoming and stylish space, perfectly aligned with the homeowners' vision of an updated aesthetic and improved functionality. The original layout posed several challenges, including a large wet bar that dominated the living area and a segmented flow between the dining room and kitchen. Our approach involved thoughtful design choices that prioritized openness while maintaining an intimate atmosphere suitable for small gatherings. To achieve this, we began by removing the cumbersome wet bar, which not only opened up the living area but also created a more fluid transition between spaces. Next, we partially removed the wall separating the living area from the kitchen, allowing for better interaction and connectivity. The formal dining room was further enhanced by eliminating a cased opening, seamlessly integrating it with the kitchen and making it an ideal setting for hosting friends and family. Throughout the project, we focused on selecting materials and finishes that would complement the homeowners' charm and hospitable spirit. The cabinetry was meticulously chosen to reflect a traditional aesthetic while incorporating modern functionality. We also made strategic adjustments to the placement of appliances, ensuring that the kitchen remained efficient and user-friendly. The craftsmanship involved in executing these changes was executed with precision, ensuring that every detail aligned with the overall design vision. The final outcome is a beautifully transformed home that embodies warmth and elegance. The once-fragmented spaces now flow together harmoniously, providing an inviting atmosphere for both casual and formal gatherings. This project not only enhances the aesthetic appeal of the home but also aligns with the homeowners' lifestyle, creating a space where they can entertain with ease and comfort.
