Lakefront by New Vista Enterprises Nov 2023 - New Vista Enterprises announces the release of the Lakefront landscaping , a new product that is a key contributor to the magic of lakeside living. Bay Village - nestled within the charm of Bay Village, this was designed directly around the outdoor living experience, combining nature and modern sophistication. A natural stone patio that leads to the water is detailed as part of the 'Lakefront' , creating a great spot to relax and hang out. To match the natural surroundings, we used locally-sourced bluestone for durability and beauty. A mixture of native plants and ornamental grasses were selected around the patio to complement the landscape and support biodiversity in the area. A major problem we had was the hill down to the lake. Using reclaimed timber we successfully designed a tiered garden through which we created a retaining wall with an earthy feel. It made more space where it could, while also giving a beautiful gradient of green colours bursting the eye toward the calm waters of the brit to the east. We wanted to include sustainable elements, so we added a rain garden to control runoff and conserve water; so, the landscape can be beautiful and functional/eco-friendly at the same time. We dialed in some outdoor lighting to complete the package so the clients could take in their peaceful water views at night as well as during the day. Outcome: A beautiful outdoor retreat that adds value to the property and improves quality of work life far beyond the clients' expectations for the 'Lakefront' .
