SuperScape's Shaded Front Yard Landscape This elegant achieved our goal of a relaxing, shaded, and inviting space, while increasing curb appeal, in Tulsa. Our challenge was to create a retreat from the road in the existence of a gently sloping front yard. The scope of work involved not only enhanced aesthetics but drainage and erosion control as we developed terraced landscapes. Pulling from a combination of native plants, we added lush ferns, hostas, and ornamental grasses for shades of color and texture. Stone pathways and the decorative boulders added functionality and an attractive element as well. Additionally, we used permeable pavers to allow rain water to drain efficiently and sustainably. The added variables to the were the existing, mature trees and working to weave them into the landscape while keeping them healthy. Our team aimed to recognize the worthy trees with care when they were also part of the landscape. The end result is a tranquil setting meant for relaxation and contemplation, with intimate seating space mixed into the planting and a meandering path leading to a surround handcrafted stone fountain for a textural, quiet introduction of sound and visual. The homeowner was elated and did not think that the peaceful space could be so usable for family gatherings or personal alone space.
