Summary: Retaining Walls by San Diego Pavers San Diego Pavers is proud to share our latest landscaping "Retaining Walls" and stunning face-lift of landscaping that not only functional but beautify outdoor spaces in the breathtaking coastal communities we serve from Cardiff By The Sea to Chula Vista. This was all the unique design and construction of stunning retaining walls to help address issues with uneven terrain, soil erosion, and drainage on multiple residential properties. We started with a thorough site visit and site evaluation to discover the needs of the space and the options for each retaining wall was going to balance not only function in the landscape, but grace. We built the retaining walls out of beautiful sustainable natural stone, and sturdy concrete blocks. Each retaining wall flows with the environment - with curves and straight lines to follow the lush, beautiful vegetation common for the San Diego area. Our masons expertly put together each wall for structure and form, and when possible, we directed drainage solutions to individual retaining walls to help with any water build-up behind any specific wall. One challenge we discovered on each wall was the types of soils to each site. This prompted further engineering dialogue and each wall was engineered to help ensure the stability of each wall. Another challenge we faced on the job as a whole was following the landscaping requests to not destroy the existing landscaping, especially not destroy any existing cherished plants and trees on-site. The end result was nothing short of magnificent. Our clients couldn't believe the transformation- not only did we solve their landscaping problems but we created functional and inviting spaces for outdoor living and enjoyment. The walls themselves became functional features to enjoy their gardens and patio, while housing plants and color together. At San Diego Pavers, we ensure quality workmanship and service for each client. The "Retaining Walls" was to not only demonstrate this commitment, but to beautify the landscape of Cardiff By The Sea, La Jolla, and all coastal communities, one retaining wall at a time.
