This project focused on harmoniously blending the rustic charm of Missouri country living with the sleek, modern aesthetics favored by a couple from Austin, Texas. The primary challenge was to create a cohesive design that reflected both their unique backgrounds while ensuring functionality and comfort in their Liberty, Missouri home. Central to this transformation was the design and construction of an impressive 20-foot fireplace wall, which serves as a striking focal point in the living area. To achieve an inviting ambiance, the fireplace was flanked by custom-built cabinets, expertly crafted to provide ample storage while seamlessly integrating with the overall design. The cabinetry featured a mix of finishes, combining a rich, natural wood tone with a clean, painted surface that echoes the transitional style. This thoughtful juxtaposition of materials not only enhances the aesthetic appeal but also embodies the couple's distinct tastes. In addition to the fireplace, careful attention was paid to the selection of complementary furnishings and decor throughout the space.
