Our client needed their backyard to be revitalised, suffering from water and soil erosion meaning it had lost significant useability. We started with a site analysis that highlighted key sites of erosion and water runoff. Using naturally sustainable products, we built strong natural stone and reinforced soil gravity retaining walls to guide water, enhance the longitudinal gradient of the profile, and stabilize the landscape. Drainage systems were smartly put in to redirect the excess water away from high-impact locations, avoiding possible erosion in the future. Not only did we strengthen the structure but we also added an abundance of local native plants well suited for the climate that nurture the soil and add a pretty view. New landscaping features include terraced gardens, a custom rock path and a water feature that not only adds tranquility but also helps contain natural drainage. Steep ground and adverse weather made things difficult, but our team followed through, always making sure nothing was missed ever. Overall, a beautiful, lush transformation that solved the erosion problems and created a place for the family to enjoy outside.
